Cast Aside to Survive, Inc.
We strive to end the suffering of homeless cat reproduction through TNVR (Trap/Neuter/Vaccinate/Return) and removing viable kittens for socializing and adoption.
What We Do
Our main goal is to promote good health and end the cycle of street reproduction through TNVR (trap/neuter/vaccinate/return).
- We prioritize pregnant cats and viable kittens for socializing, fostering and adoption.
- We assist pet owners with the valuable services of vaccinations and neutering as a means to end the overpopulation of unclaimed cats.
- We strive to place kittens into approved foster homes while awaiting adoption placement.
We are a nonprofit incorporation shelter/rescue which is registered with the bureau of Charities and the Farm and Agriculture Department. We are also a Great Nonprofit! Read our reviews here.
We function on donations, recycling and grant funding. You can find us on social media. We are not held liable for any claims regarding the voluntary surrender of kittens, nor the spay/neuter services being provided through the program to any cats.
If you want to adopt, need TNVR services, need cats neutered, or want to surrender kittens, please complete an Intake form.
OUR STORY:
As a senior in high school, our founder, Kim Kelly, rescued a 2-day-old calico kitten found behind a department store. The vet said it wouldn’t survive without its mother. She refused to accept this and read every book she could find on kitten care. The kitten’s name was “Baby Kitty”. In honor of Baby Kitty, who lived to be 16 years old and is now our logo kitty, Kim is following her passion for rescuing cats and kittens.
Kim started the 501(c)3 in 2018 after initiating a Girl Scout community service project in 2004 in an effort to help the voiceless, abandoned, and neglected to get the assistance they so deserve. She hopes that one day there will be better laws and more resources to protect ALL critters!
